Filip Míšek

Filip Míšek is a musician, composer, producer and recording / mixing engineer.
He is best known as the founder of the band Khoiba, with whom he released four albums and two EPs. Their debut album Nice Traps (2004) is regularly cited among the most influential Czech albums released after the Velvet Revolution of 1989.
As a producer, he recently recorded, co-wrote, produced and mixed Aftermath by BlackTarJesus at Faust. The album won the 2025 Vinyla Award for Album of the Year and was also nominated for the Anděl Awards.
As a composer, Filip has created music for feature films, television productions, documentaries, theatre and dance performances. His notable achievements include a nomination for Best Original Score at the 2019 Polish Film Awards (Orły) for the film Fugue (directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska). He also composed the music for Anticodes, an audiovisual dance performance based on the work of Václav Havel, performed by Laterna Magika throughout the United States in 2013. Since 2015, he has collaborated with Věra Ondrašíková on the audiovisual dance performance Guide, which has toured internationally.
In 2011, Filip released his debut solo album, The Bear Is Sleeping Now, under the moniker Dikolson. The album was subsequently released in Japan in 2013, followed by performances in Tokyo and Yokohama the following year. His second solo album, Unbelievable Friendship, was released in 2022 on Weltschmerzen.
